Agree or Disagree: There is no such thing as “Naturally Gifted”

You probably know people like this. They seem to have a “gift” to do something.

We can think of the extraordinary and famous. Tiger Woods at golf. People like  Wayne Gretzky at hockey.  Or someone like Michael Jordan at basketball.  Musicians like Eric Clapton, The Edge, or Eddie Van Halen on guitar. Artists like Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci. Authors like Stephen King. Albert Einstein People that just seem to have a gift.  It seems unexplainable.

Or perhaps, there is people that you know that seem to have an incredible ability in an area. A really talented artist, musician, mathematician, writer or athlete that just seems to be well suited for the profession they choose. Maybe a mechanic that just knows how to fix a car. Or a chef that just knows how to perfect a meal.

Do you think that these people, or people like this have been given a natural talent for what they are good at? Or was it something that has to be developed through circumstances like environment, encouragement and well hard work? And all of that makes it seem like it is a natural talent?

Looking forward to reading your thoughts
