Agree or Disagree: Student protesting funding to education

Today in Edmonton, there was protest by Alberta Post Secondary Students about  the$147 million slashed  to the education by the Alberta Tories.

This protest is led by the Coalition of Action for Post Secondary Education. And you can read more of this in this article from Beacon News

This protest is not the first protest of education cuts and tuition hikes ever. Nor will it be the last?

 Liberal leader Raj Sherman is quoted in the article as saying “This is the worst decision the Alberta Tories have ever made”.

We all remember what happened in Quebec last summer? While some understood the issues, many questioned why Quebec students would protest when they have the lowest tuition in Canada. One of the leaders, Lexie Gill responded “Why do you not protest that your education is so high?

What do you think? Do students have a point in protesting education cuts? Or is this the sign of economic impact of the times?
